The Challenges<\/span><\/h3>\n

Metaschool has always prioritized having a great relationship with their niche audience of global developers. They quickly realized that this could not have been possible without hosting live virtual coding sessions to provide first-hand knowledge on shipping Web3 projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the biggest challenges they had initially faced was setting up an event landing page to attract their top of the funnel traffic to their live coding camps and capture their email IDs.\u00a0<\/span>Organizing live coding camps had been challenging for Metaschool too. It was a big undertaking that involved setting up a landing page, driving traffic to it for sign ups, delivering learning content, and finally bidding goodbye to a happy audience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Metaschool doesn\u2019t come equipped with EdTech tools. Thus the small team of 13, all working remotely together, have had to branch out and think of several ways to curate these virtual coding camps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    vFairs Event Builder<\/span><\/h4>\n

    Metaschool had a logo and a color palette to associate with, vFairs used their customization features provided by the Event Builder and beautifully designed landing pages to capture attention as well as well-curated emails.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Customized Landing Pages <\/span><\/h4>\n

    Customized landing pages allowed them to mention the details and agenda of their event, as well as the speakers featured in the live coding camps. While this detail may be underestimated, the Metaschool team stressed upon the importance of communicating the plan and outcomes of their virtual coding camps to provide real value.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    With no ticket fees, they had to work extra hard on making sure to show they were serious about what they were teaching in these sessions. Luckily, this little detail worked for them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Integrations <\/span><\/h4>\n

    Out of the 14 coding camps they\u2019ve held in the past 11 months, their participant pool has been growing a steady 35% per session. An integration of Zoom has also made it very convenient to track attendance of those signed up. That data has been especially useful in segmenting users for email marketing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Email Marketing<\/span><\/h4>\n

    The vFairs email marketing feature worked very well for attendees who didn\u2019t show up to sessions. Several of those who\u2019ve missed the virtual coding camps the first time around didn\u2019t end up missing the next one. In fact, they\u2019ve shown a 60% attendance rate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Automated emails going out to all those signed up a day before the event until even 5 minutes up to the event have proven to be useful. <\/span>The average email open rate across all industries is 17.92%. The average open rate for Metaschool coding camp emails was a whopping 32%, meaning that nearly one-third of those who sign up, open these emails.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Detailed Post-event Analytics<\/span><\/h4>\n

    The detailed analytics provided by the Event Builder provided detailed data of the events, email marketing, sessions, and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Seamless Event Experience <\/span><\/h4>\n

    These events offered a seamless experience for both speakers and participants. Emails went out on time to join Zoom links, the third party tool integrations ran smooth. The chat room feature allowed developers to complete courses in real-time.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The Results<\/span><\/h3>\n

    From 20 to now 300, developers have been waiting in anticipation to become a part of the virtual coding camps organized by Metaschool.
